Collingwood players wife dress appears see-through on red carpet

The wife of a AFL player had an awkward moment on the red carpet at the football club’s awards night after her dress revealed more than she bargained for.

Kahlia Howe and Collingwood Football Club player Jeremy Howe arrived for the Copeland Trophy on Friday, which is the club’s end-of-season awards night.

Kahlia wore a black, sequined mini dress for the occasion which featured long sleeves, finishing the look with clear pointed heels and a silver statement handbag.

She styled her blonde hair in simple waves, making sure the attention was solely on the dress from Oglio-Loro Couture, which was one of the most popular designers for the 2023 Brownlow Awards.

However Kahlia, who was styled by Hannah Arceri for the big night, got more than she bargained for under the bright lights of the red carpet.

The lighting made Kahlia’s dress appear as though it was see-through, however Instagram images from her stylist indicated the dress wasn’t.

Kahlia was still the centre of attention, with many praising her outfit on the night.

“Howe’s wife is STUNNING,” one social media user commented.

Another said: “All our Pie boys and their beautiful partners looking just stunning.”

Kahlia and Howe have been together since 2016, with the pair marrying in 2019 before welcoming their little boy Zandler Jay in 2021.

Other standout outfits from the night included Adriana Guevara Paez’, who attended with Darcy Cameron.

Adriana wore a form fitting floor length black gown, which featured sheer panelling under the bust which an intricate lace design. The same design was under the skirt, before continuing into a sheer block from just above the knee.

Her outfit was finished with an updo, to make sure the detailing on the dress was able to shine on the night.

Ashlee Browning, who attended the event at the Crown in Melbourne with Brayden Maynard, wore a satin black mini skirt with a white off-the-shoulder top with statement puffy sleeves.

She finished the look with an up do and a small handbag, with her sandal heels having a beautiful bold flower design on the strap across the toe.

Triple J host Dee Salmin attended the event on the arm of Darcy Moore, the son of former Collingwood captain Peter Moore.

Dee worked a form-fitting black dress that had a wet-look to the outfit, which was emphasised by the radio star having her blonde hair tied in a knot at the nape of her neck.

She completed the look with red heels and a chunky statement necklace, which had three strings along it.

Amy O’Neil, who attended alongside Tom Wilson, wore white mini dress with a sweetheart neckline.

The dress had ruching on the fabric in one direction, before changing in another direction when it came to the skirt that flared out from the form-fitting bodice of the outfit.

She paired the outfit with gold point heels and a gold clutch.

Mikayla Crisp, who attended with husband Jack, was sporting a baby bump on the night as the couple are expecting her third child.

Mikayla work a strapless dress with an intricate design along the bust that resembled a flower.
