Vienna House Dream Castle Hotel Review, Disneyland Paris, France

The breakfast buffet, served in a dedicated room in the basement with faux gold trimmings and tree-shaded summertime terrace, features French breads and pastries, pre-cooked eggs, bacon et al. Highlights include the flaky miniature croissants, popcorn machine churning out warm popcorn, and giant jars of Nutella.

A limited choice of pasta dishes and French classics such as parmentier de confit de canard (a duck version of English shepherd’s pie), charcuterie and cheese is served all day in the Excalibur Bar (open 11am to 11pm or midnight), styled like a room in a castle with faux wood beams, Disney cartoons or live sport on television and a more discreet library area with tartan-clad armchairs and books to browse.

The Mousqetaire restaurant offers a self-service, all-you-can-eat international dinner buffet (€30 [£26] for adults; €11.50 [£10] for ages six to 14 years) with salad, wok and roast meat bars, smiley face-shaped donuts and chocolate fountain no young musketeer could possibly resist. Drinks cost extra.
